Thanksgiving Stuffing/Dressing

A savory blend of bread, herbs, and aromatics cooked inside or alongside the turkey.

Ingredients:

1 loaf of day-old bread (French or sourdough), cut into cubes

1 cup unsalted butter

1 large onion, diced

3-4 celery stalks, chopped

2-3 cloves garlic, minced

2-3 cups chicken or vegetable broth

2 eggs, beaten

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

Salt and Pepper as per Taste

Instructions:

Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F./(175°C). Grease a baking dish.

Bread Prep: Spread Bread Cubes on a Baking Sheet and Toast them in the microwave oven for about 10-15 mint or until slightly crispy.

Saute Aromatics: In a large skillet, Melt Butter at medium heat. Add onions, celery,garlic. Cook until softened, about 5-7 mint.

Mix Ingredients: In a large Pot, mixed the toasted bread Cubes with the sautéed Vegetables. Add Beaten eggs, parsley, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Moisten the Mixture: Slowly pour in the broth, mixing continuously until the stuffing is moist but not soggy. Adjust the broth quantity as needed.

Bake: Transfer the Mixture into the greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 to40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an extra 10 to15 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Serving Tips:

Serve hot alongside roasted turkey or as a standalone side dish.

Garnish with additional herbs for a fresh touch.
