The recent Baltimore bridge collapse incident highlighted the heroism of the Indian crew aboard the cargo ship. President Joe Biden praised their quick action, emphasizing that their mayday warning undoubtedly saved lives. The crew’s timely response averted a potential disaster, earning them accolades from various quarters . although all navigation responsibilities were on two American captains (pilot) , it’s a law that all vessel must be driven (navigated) by American captain(pilot) on that area, still Indian crew were facing racism.

However, despite such acts of bravery, Indians and Hindus in the USA face increasing hate crimes and discrimination. Reports indicate a significant rise in hate crime incidents, with bias motivation closely linked to Indians. This alarming trend reflects a broader issue of racism and xenophobia targeting Indian and Hindu communities.
