Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs
1/2 Cup unsalted butter, melted
Optional- 1Cup of Corn Kernels (Fresh, Frozen, or Canned)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Put Oven to 375°F to 190°C. Grease oil a 9-Inch Square-Baking Pan or a Cast-Iron Skillet.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large Bowl, Whisk Together the Cornmeal, flour, sugar, Baking-Powder, Baking-Soda, and Salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In another Bowl, whisk the buttermilk and eggs until well combined. Gradually add in the melted butter, stirring continuously.
Combine Wet and Dry: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry Ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If using corn kernels, gently fold them into the batter.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan or skillet. Smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 mint. or till the cornbread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve: Allow the cornbread to cool in the pan for a few mint Before Slicing. Serve warm with butter or honey.
